Salt Fish
I was just on facebook and I remembered a guy.
Let’s call him Salt Fish.
We met by chance…
We originally knew each other from msn somehow… then we lost contact.
One day I went to Penge to see someone who I had no idea knew Salt Fish.
I stayed there.
The next day as we are leaving to go train station, Salt Fish turns up.
We were surprised to recognise each other, to remember each other and to be meeting each other.
We stayed in contact after this; had a 9 hour phone conversation; ate pizza at his place.
Then something bad happened. Something which effected Salt Fish greatly. And everything changed.
I made an effort but he just disappeared from my life. No explanation.
How do you go from falling so deeply for someone; getting to know them to having them removed from your life with no understanding of why?
How do you make yourself try to pretend they never existed, and nothing ever happened?
When Salt Fish comes to mind, how do I tell myself : You feel nothing?
It’s been 2 years since Salt Fish disappeared… I wish he would come back.
